Turtle Time Bio

My journey in glass art started in Corvallis Oregon, where I attended Oregon State University, studying marine biology. In the fall of 2000 I made my first micro sculptures from the scrap bucket, on my friend Ryan Whitmore's hand torch (@wagglass). After graduating in 2002 with a bachelors degree in marine biology with a minor in chemistry, I explored many career opportunities like roofing and band manager. Fortunately I continued to blow glass with the help and hospitality of the many incredible artists and friends in the Corvallis glass and music community.  In 2005 Clinton Roman took me under his wing and initiated into the life of a professional glass artist. This is when I committed to glass art as my trade, and became Turtle.
